Boudoir Photography
What is boudoir photography? It's about connecting with your own sensuality. It's about embracing your inherent beauty. It's about celebrating your freedom and independence.
Boudoir photos make a great gift for your significant other, but most clients don't realize that they are also a great gift for themselves. You see yourself in a particular way every day, but the camera can recast you in an entirely new way. A boudoir photography session will explore and discover new perspectives and you'll begin to see yourself as you never have before.
How does this work?
We begin with a one-on-one interview in your home or a location of your choosing. There are two things we must accomplish in order to be successful:
1. We need to be comfortable working with one another. Great images come through when everyone is relaxed and able to work together as a team. We need to think of one another as old friends, and I'll help put you at ease from the very beginning. Feel free to ask me about family, work, background, etc.
2. We need to know and understand our goals. There are endless options for shooting in any scenario, so we will need to talk about some broad concepts to help narrow that down. I'll want to know if there are any specific images you're interested in, and I'll present you with some ideas of what I think will make for great images given your figure, clothing options, lighting, and location.
If you have a hair or makeup artist, they can then begin to prepare you for your shoot. During this period, I'll be taking care of setting up each of the sets that we will use. Most people don't realize that they already live in a perfect photography studio. The key is to know how to work with what you have. Sometimes just moving a few pieces of furniture can set a perfect scene -- don't worry too much about this -- that's why you're hiring a professional.
When everything is ready to go, we can then start shooting. If you are new to boudoir photography, you are likely to be a little nervous at first, and that is completely normal. After just a few minutes, you'll become more accustomed to this new environment and will slowly begin to immerse yourself in it. By the time we're done shooting, you will be bursting with new ideas and ready to schedule your next session. I see this transformation take place at every shoot and it's by far the most rewarding part of my job.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
I guarantee that you'll absolutely love the images we create together. If you are not completely satisfied, I will refund your money, no questions asked.
Privacy
Your images are yours and yours alone. They will never shown or published online or otherwise without your written permission. All images displayed on my website were given with consent.
Pricing
A 1-2 hour session is only $150, and includes delivery of a minimum of 20 professionally edited digital images.
While I prefer to shoot in your home, we can also reserve a studio or a luxury hotel in the area (I know several great locations). Shooting in these alternate locations will have an associated cost depending on time and place.
Many clients choose to have their hair and make-up done by a professional stylist and/or artist. I have several friends that I can refer if you need assistance in this area. I typically find that hair and make-up artists typically charge $100-150.
